Two spectacular Maine weather days in a row!  Warm sunny temps and low humidity put everyone in a great mood. That’s how we like it!

Rounds of hugs and high fives this morning, as we said “see you next year” to first session campers.  On Sunday we’ll welcome new friends in all age Divisions.  That’s exciting!  Several counselors from last summer will be coming in for second session as well.  That’s exciting too!

But first — Parent Visiting Day tomorrow!  We’re happy to welcome many of our moms, dads and siblings to see Skylemar live and in-person.  The boys will be showing off, showing around and introducing from 10 AM to 3 PM.

As you know, there are a number of boys who won’t have visitors.   They’ll be well taken care of as always, but we do ask that guests stay out of the Bunk in consideration of this.  The plan is for all activities and lunch to be outdoors, so hopefully the much-needed rain will hold off until departure time.  Just in case, we have Rainy Day Activities “in the hopper”.  It’s amazing that we haven’t had a single rainy day since June 28.

Parent Visiting Day is an emotional one for all.  Plenty of joy … and sometimes tears.  When the clock strikes 3, it’s Carnival time!  Giant inflatable obstacle courses, games and slides have a magical way of turning things right-side up again.
