Color War

Color War, Skylemar’s most treasured tradition, occurs during the final week of camp. It begins on “Election Night,” when each camper votes to select two senior campers as captains to lead the Red and Gray teams. The following night, the entire camp is split into two teams, and for five spirited days, campers compete in full-length sports games to earn points for their team. The final event, “Tugs of War,” determines the winner, and afterward, campers can take a celebratory dip in Trickey Pond to mark the end of the competition. It’s an experience campers eagerly anticipate and one they remember long after the summer ends.
